Abstract:

Objective

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the changes in voice Voice acoustic analysis, particularly before and after the vocal cord polyp and plaryngopharyngeal reflux operation.

Methods

Detailed information has been acquired by the author using the German Axon(XION)voice analysis software, which was used to do the voice acoustic analysis, 34 cases of comparisons have been performed to analyse the different indexes before and after the vocal cord polyp and plaryngopharyngeal reflux operation.

Results

Feedback is based on the results of those comparisons. The vocaI cord polyp group indexes consisted of six parts, Which are jitter, amplitude perturbation(shimmer), sound pressure level(SPL)and MPT、RSI、RFS.Those indexs were considerably different from the normal control group(P<0.05). Meanwhile, data suggested that Fundamental frequency(F0)and DSI had no evident change in the parameter values.

Conclusion

These findings of the research have naturally led the author to the conclusion that the aconsic analysis can reflect the vocal cord polyp voice quality objectively and quantitatively.therefore, it can evaluate the effect of operation.

Key words: Polyp of vocal cord, laryngopharyngeal reflux, Voice acoustic analysis, Operation
