Establishing animal model of laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery combines with the greater curvature placation

Abstract:

Objective

To present our experience in establishing pig model of Laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery combines with the greater curvature placation.

Methods

After general anesthesia on six pigs, each of them has respectively received Laparoscopic hiatal Herniorrhaphy + Nissen fundoplication + greater curvature plication and Laparoscopic hiatal Herniorrhaphy + Toupet fundoplication + greater curvature plication, by using laparoscopic apparatus made by OLYMPUS company.Intra and post operative technical difficulties were recorded.

Results

Two types of anti-reflux surgery and greater curvature plication on six pigs are completed successfully.No massive hemorrhage and organ damages occurred in the operation.

Conclusion

It′s safe and feasible to build the Laparoscopic hiatal Herniorrhaphy+ fundoplication combines with the greater curvature plication.
