Prospective analysis of laparoscopic repair of hiatal hernia in primary hospitals

Abstract:

Objective

Evaluate the clinical effect and prospect of laparoscopic repair of esophageal hiatal hernia in primary hospitals.

Methods

Retrospective analysis of the operation effect and prognosis of 8 patients undergoing laparoscopic esophageal hernia repair from May 2013 to January 2017 in Kuche County People′s Hospital.

Results

All 8 patients were treated with laparoscopic esophageal hiatal herniorrhaphy plus Nissen360°fundus folding, two of them were treated with biologic patch, and two patients were treated with biological patch.The symptoms of reflux esophagitis such as reflux esophagitis, such as burning and acid reflux, were releved.Belching was completely relieved, no conversion to laparotomy, operative complications, death.All 8 patients were followed up for 12 to 48 monthes without recurrence symptoms.Reexamination of gastroscope, esophagus inflammation and ulceration were completely cured.

Conclusion

Laparoscopic repair of esophageal hiatal hernia has a broad application prospect in primary hospitals with certain hardware conditions and technical level.
