Research progress in the detection of bile reflux

Abstract:

Duodenal contents-bile, bicarbonate and pancreatic enzymes-can flow back into the stomach and esophagus is called DGER or bile reflux.Numerous studies have shown that patients with weight loss surgery, radical gastrectomy, and gastrointestinal anastomosis have a risk of bile reflux to some extent.There is no gold standard for the diagnosis of bile reflux. The current detection methods include HIDA scintigraphy, fiber spectrophotometer bilirubin monitor, gastroesophageal fluid aspiration test and bile acid analysis, etc. Select the detection method.In the simple diagnosis of DGER, HIDA scintigraphy is a non-invasive and accurate diagnostic method. The process and distribution of reflux need to be the same as the Bilitec detector, which has a longer invasive and dynamic monitoring time, and for the esophageal mucosa. The visual assessment of integrity and the determination of the composition of the reflux fluid, Esophagogastoduodenos copy(EGD) is best suited for liquid aspiration and tissue biopsy.
