Results

The operation of POEM in 26 patients with achalasia of cardia was successfully completed. In 4 patients, the complications were cured and discharged after treatment. The follow-up was 9-24 months. After treatment, the eating difficulties of all patients were significantly improved. No serious complications occurred.

Conclusion

Poem surgery not only has the advantages of short operation time, small trauma, fast recovery, and less complications, but also has the advantages of "scar-free surgery".
