Abstract:
Objective To investigate the significance and correlation of high resolution esophageal manometry in asthma with GERD.
Methods A total of 100 patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD group)and gastroesophageal reflux disease with bronchial asthma(GERD combined with asthma group)who underwent high-resolution esophageal manometry from January 2014 to December 2016 were enrolled in this study.compared the esophageal motility of two groups and analyze its relevance.
Results The asthma with GERD group gastroesophageal pressure higher than GERD group and peristaltic wave velocity were lower than GERD group, the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05); There was no significant difference between esophageal sphincter pressure and resting pressure between two groups.
Conclusion High resolution esophageal manometry is more intuitive and accurate in the diagnosis of GERD and the asthma with GERD, which provide the clinical basis for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of asthma with GERD patients, The asthma with GERD group gastroesophageal pressure higher than GERD group and peristaltic wave velocity were lower than GERD group.
