Analysis the efficacy of laparoscopic Floppy Nissen fundoplication treatment of hiatal hernia combined with gastroesophageal reflux disease

Abstract:

Objective

To consider the efficacy of laparoscopic Floppy Nissen fundoplication treatment of hiatal hernia combined with gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Methods

Statistics 149 patients′medical record information of hiatal hernia combined with gastroesophageal reflux disease that underwent laparoscopic Floppy Nissen fundoplication in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People′s Hospital from October 2012 to January 2015.82 cases wereⅠtype hiatal hernia, 47 cases wereⅡ type hiatal hernia, 11 cases were Ⅲ type hiatal hernia, 9 cases were IV type hiatal hernia.Statistical these patients 24 hours esophageal PH monitoring, esophageal manometry, GERD Q score and postoperative complications before surgery and 6 months postoperative, Retrospective analysis of the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic Floppy Nissen fundoplication treatment of hiatal hernia combined with gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Results

There is no perioperative deaths and serious complications during perioperative.The reflux symptoms were significantly improved postoperative, There is significantly lower than the preoperative in reflux time, the number of reflux, acid reflux time percentage, long reflux episodes and DeMeester score(P<0.05). GERD Q scale score was significantly lower than the preoperative(P<0.05). LES pressure significantly increased compared with preoperative(P<0.05). The median follow-up of 10 months, no recurrence during follow-up.

Conclusion

Laparoscopic Floppy Nissen fundoplication can effectively inhibit reflux symptoms, increase LES pressure, both to achieve the purpose of anti-reflux, and reduce the incidence of postoperative dysphagia, worthy of promotion.
