Abstract:

Objective

To construct a GERD animal model of anti reflux barrier defect and disturbance of gastric emptying by using balloon dilation.

Methods

12 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into 2 groups(6 rabbits in each group). Balloon dilation and composite method were performed respectively.Four weeks later, the animals were killed to evaluate the modeling effect of esophagitis and stomach dynamics.

Results

The animal models were established successfully and no animal was dead. There was no significant difference in the severity of esophagitis among the groups according to the standard of histological esophagitis. After modeling, the DIS was visible, and there was no significant difference between the two groups. The model of composite method had a significant effect on gastric emptying, and the gastric emptying rate was significantly lower than that of the balloon dilatation method.

Conclusion

Models established in this study exist esophageal anti reflux barrier defect, and disturbance of gastric emptying caused by gastrointestinal motility disorder, and taking into account the role of psychological factors in the model, provide a meet clinical needs more ideal model.
