Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the clinical aspects of perimenopausal women with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) andthe clinical effects of femoston combined with esomeprazole in the treatment of perimenopausal women with GERD.

Methods

A retrospective study made on 80 patients whom with perimenopausal GERD between March 2020 to March 2021 in our hospital were analyzed. According to different treatment methods, all patients was grouped as control (n=40) and observation(n=40); the control group was treated with esomeprazole; the observation group was given femoston that on the basis of esomeprazole, and the two groups were treated for 6 months. Kupperman questionnaire, GERD questionnaire, 24-h pH monitoring of gastric acid, high-resolution esophageal motilityand sex hormones wereused to analyze the clinical effects of that combination therapy.

Results

The perimenopausal symptom score and GERD score of theobservation groups were markedly decline than pre treatment(P<0.05); compared with before treatment, the levels of proximal esophageal weak acid reflux(%), proximal esophageal acid reflux(%) and Demeester score decreased significantly after treatment (P<0.05); the resting pressure of lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and DCI increased significantly after treatment compared with those before treatment (P<0.05); the levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) were significantly decrease in the observation group after treatment (P<0.05); at the same time, the level of estradiol (E2) was significantly increased (P<0.05); the clinical efficacy of the observation group was excellent than that of the control group (P<0.05); the ineffective rate of the observation group was markedly lower (P<0.05); the incidence of adverse drug reactions such as headache, nausea, vomiting and breast pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The combined therapy has a good effect on perimenopausal with GERD, and can significantly improve the occurrence of perimenopausal and GERD symptoms, that is considerable for further clinical application.
