Abstract:

The incidence rate of type 2 diabetes millutes (T2DM) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) rising in recent years. GERD was thought to be a one of the most chronic gastrointestinal diseases that often occurs in diabetic complications. The mechanism of DM and GERD unclear at present. The influence of esophageal dynamic function in DM complicated with GERD may related to insulin resistance, hyperglycemic autonomic neuropathy, gastrointestinal hormone, transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxation, and diabetic drug use. This article mainly summarizes the research progress of the relationship between DM and GERD.
