Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the clinical efficacy of modified peroral endoscopic cardial constriction on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Methods

Thirty-three patients with GERD who received PECC from January 2021 to January 2023 at Xinchang People's Hospital were selected for this study. The DeMeester score, impedance value, lower esophageal sphincter pressure(LESP) and gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire (GERD-Q) scores were performed to assess the clinical efficiency at 3 and 6 month after PECC treatment.

Results

GERD-Q score,DeMeester score and impedance value decreased after PECC treatment, while the value of LESP increased.

Conclusion

Modified PECC is safe and effective for GERD,which can be used in clinical practice.
