Abstract:

Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)is caused by the reflux of gastric and duodenal contents to the esophagus, throat, airway and other tissues, and has a significant negative impact on the physical and mental health of the patients.Estrogen plays an important role in the development of GERD, estrogen has protective effects on esophageal injury in chronic reflux esophagitis, the effect of estrogen on the incidence and severity of GERD is very complex. The possible mechanism of estrogen in the pathogenesis of GERD is discussed in this paper, and provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment for GERD.
