Objective

To investigate the correlation between OSAS and GERD in obese patients.

Methods

Studying on the correlation between AHI and esophageal function.

Results

In the non-OSAS and OSAS group, the percentage of reflux correlation with AHI the (P=0.005), stomach-esophageal pressure difference and AHI was positively correlated (P<0.05); Disparity expiratory pressure and LES negative correlation with AHI (P<0.05).

Conclusion

There is a closely relationship between OSAS and GERD in obese patients, and they are reciprocal causation, which can influence each other and aggravate each other.
