Abstract:

Objective

To observe the clinical application value of proton pump inhibitor(PPI)in the treatment of reflux laryngitis.

Methods

A total of 74 patients with suspected reflux laryngitis were admitted in People′s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from May 2016 to May 2017, and the random number table method was randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.31 patients in the observation group were treated with a proton pump inhibitor(omeprazole), and 43 patients in the control group were treated with the treatment of antipyretic laryngitis. The symptom integrals and clinical curative effect of two treatment regimens were observed.

Results

The effective rate of treatment in 31 patients was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the score of DeMeester in the control group decreased significantly, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).

Conclusion

The therapeutic effect of proton pump inhibitor in the treatment of reflux laryngitis is significant and worthy of clinical promotion.
